Application for FESCO New Electricity Meter Connection

To apply for a new electricity meter connection online, visit the FESCO Electricity New Connection (ENC) system or the designated application portal. The FESCO new connection application process consists of five main steps, each with specific sub-steps.

Make sure to fill out all required fields completely and accurately. Providing relevant and authentic information is crucial; otherwise, your application may be rejected. Before starting the application, ensure you have the following documents ready:

1. A copy of a FESCO electricity bill from a neighbor.

2. Proof of property ownership.

3. An attested copy of your CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card).

4. An attested CNIC copy of a witness.

5. A wiring contractor’s test report for your residence.

FESCO New Connection Process

Applying for a new electricity connection from FESCO is a straightforward process. Follow these steps to ensure a successful application:

Step 1: Access the Online Application Portal

Open the FESCO ENC (Electricity New Connection) online application portal on your desktop or laptop.

Step 2: Start Your Application

Locate the “Apply” button on the homepage and click on it to begin the application process.

Step 3: Enter Neighbor’s Reference Number

Input your neighbor’s reference number in the designated field. This will automatically populate other fields such as their name, address, distribution company name, sub-division name, and relevant code.

Step 4: Select Load Details

Choose the load type required for your connection. For a domestic connection, select 5 KW. For industrial or commercial connections, select a load greater than 5 KW.

Step 5: Specify Connection Type

If applying for a residential connection, choose the “Domestic” type. Other options include “Commercial,” “Agricultural,” and “Industrial.”

Step 6: Indicate Housing Status

If you reside in a rental property, select “Tenant.” If you own the property, select “Landlord.”

Step 7: Fill in Personal Details

Enter your full name with correct spellings, followed by your father’s or husband’s name in the next field.

Step 8: Citizenship and CNIC

Indicate your citizenship status. If you are Pakistani, choose the first option. Enter your CNIC number and your residential address.

Step 9: Provide Mobile Numbers

In the first field, enter your personal mobile number. In the second field, provide a secondary mobile number (e.g., your father’s or husband’s).

Step 10: Contact Details

For the contact details of the person acquiring the new connection, select the same as above to autofill the fields.

Step 11: Premises Details

If you have an existing electricity meter, indicate this. If not, enter “0” in the designated field.

Step 12: Load Requirement

Specify your load requirement for the new electricity connection and the address where the new meter will be installed.

Step 13: List Appliances

Mention the appliances you use at home. For example, if you have one air conditioner, specify “AC” and select the quantity. Enter the load consumed by these appliances. You can add more appliances by clicking “Add Row.”

Step 14: Upload Required Documents

Upload scanned copies of all necessary documents by clicking the “Browse” button.

Step 15: Review and Agree

Carefully review all information in the form and the terms and conditions for the FESCO new connection request. Click the “I Agree” button to confirm.

Step 16: Submit Your Application

Complete the captcha verification by entering the displayed numbers in the field. Finally, click the “Submit” button to submit your application.

How to Check FESCO New Meter Connection Status

Once you apply for a new meter connection with FESCO, you will receive a tracking number. This number allows you to monitor the status of your application easily. Follow these steps to check the status of your new connection:

Step 1: Access the ENC Portal

Visit the FESCO Electricity New Connection (ENC) portal by clicking on the designated button or link provided on their website.

Step 2: Locate the Tracking Option

On the left side of the webpage, find and click the “Track” button. This will open a new form for tracking your application.

Step 3: Select Application Type

In the tracking form, you will see two options. Choose the first option to track your new connection application. If you want to check the status of a name change, tariff adjustment, or load application, select the second option.

Step 4: Provide Company and Tracking ID

After selecting the application type, you will need to enter the name of the distribution company. Since you are applying for a new connection with FESCO, select "FESCO" from the dropdown menu.

Step 5: Enter Tracking Number

Once you have selected the company, enter the tracking number that you received when you submitted your online application.

Step 6: Submit the Form

After filling in all the required information, click the “Submit” or “Track” button to view the status of your application.

FESCO Demand Notice

Upon submitting your application for a new connection, the FESCO ENC team will conduct a comprehensive review of the application process. This assessment includes evaluating critical factors such as service line length, conductors, and all necessary equipment required for the installation of the new meter connection. After completing this evaluation, a demand notice will be issued.

You will see one of the following statuses on your application tracking page: "Review Completed" or "Pay Demand Notice Fee." Once the review process is finalized, you will be able to download your demand notice voucher directly from the ENC portal.

How to Apply for FESCO Demand Notice Online

Step 1: Visit the ENC Portal.

Step 2: Click on the “Print” button located on the left side of the page.

Step 3: A form will appear on the right side, prompting you to select the application type. Choose the option for a new connection.

Step 4: After selecting the application type, you will be asked to enter your new connection application tracking number. Input the tracking number and click “Submit.”

Step 5: A demand notice form will then open, offering options to “Download” or “Print.” Review the details on the form and select your preferred option.

Note: To expedite the application process, ensure you pay the demand notice fee at your nearest bank.

How to Submit Demand Notice Online

After submitting the FESCO new connection fee, you can apply for a demand notice application online. To proceed, you must have a scanned copy of the paid demand notice fee.

Step 1: Visit the ENC portal.

Step 2: Select the “Upload” option as indicated on the page.

Step 3: Set the application type to "New Connection."

Step 4: Enter your tracking number and click the "Submit" button.

Step 5: A window will prompt you to upload the scanned copy of the demand notice. Upload the file and then click the "Save" button. This action will submit your demand notice to FESCO management.

Note: Upon timely payment and the uploading of the demand notice on the ENC portal, your new connection will be installed within 15 days, in accordance with the official procedure.

The fees associated with the demand notice for a new connection comprise both fixed and variable charges. The variable charges are influenced by several factors, including the length of the service line, the type of connection (single-phase or three-phase), and the geographical location (rural or urban).
